Hi and welcome to my next blog post. Today I will be showing you my, story starters. I had to look at a picture that our teacher would show us first. Then we had to write a  little story about it. We had three specific words that we needed to have in each story. The words were I see, I hear and I taste. We have one picture every day. These were my stories.                   

My True And Interesting Facts About Dogs

Introduction Did you know your dog's whiskers help the dog see in the dark. A dog is a four legged animal. Most dogs have ears that flop around but some of them have airs that stay up. In This You will be learning what is a dog, a dogs diet, a dog's predator and a dogs appearance. What is a dog A dog is a mammal that is blind. A dog long snout and an acute sense of smell. Dogs make noises such as barking, howling and annoying whining. Most dogs have fur but some dogs have no fur because he have been shaved. Some dogs have been known to be very vicious and they bite. Others don’t bite and are nice and caring. A dogs diet Domesticated dogs are largely carnivores but will also eat plant based foods. Wild dogs eat food has comprise of mainly prey animals consisting of raw meat and bones. Dogs also need protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals and water. They also eat food made from the stores. A dog's predator Birds of prey, such as eagles and hawks eat small dogs and puppies. Depending on what habitat you live in animals such as coyotes, bears and mountain lions may also be a threat. The two main types of predators for domesticated dogs are birds and coyotes. Birds and coyotes are excellent hunters and can take down anything under 25 pounds. Using flashlights will keep the predators away. Appearance Dogs have four legs and make a “arf” “woof” or “bark” noise. Dogs often will chase cats and most dogs are known to fetch a ball or sick. Dogs can smell and hear better than humans, but cannot see as well because they are colour blind. Some dogs can have lots of fur coming down from is skin. Some dogs can have no hair. Closing So most dogs have long airs. A dog is a mammal. A domesticated dogs two main predators are birds & coyotes. A dog is blind but has very good eyesight. Some dogs have no hair. Leprechaun

Hello and welcome to my next blog post. In maths I had to find a photo from google and my teacher would print it out. The next step would be I would get an OHT paper and put it on the printed out photo. I then got a vivid and drew lines over the OHT piece of paper. I then put numbers inside each shape. Then we printed the OHT piece of paper and it came out like white piece of paper with lines and numbers. Then you would get someone else to colour it in for you.

Hello and welcome to my next blog post. Today I will be showing you my sits. SIT stands for Surprising, Interesting and Troubling.

Wonderopolis

S- I was pretty surprised when I found out that chocolate has some caffeine inside of it I thought it was just milk and flavouring.

I-I found it interesting when I found out all these big words like alkaloid, simulant and theobromine.

T-I don’t like how dogs aren’t aloud chocolate and chocolate is delicious.

Kiwi kids news

S- I found it surprising when I found out that a snake was in the toilet. What I mean is how in the entire earth would a snake get into the toilet.

I- It was interesting when the snake bit her she thought it was a frog and not a snake, like wouldn’t it hurt.

T- I found it troubling when I saw on the picture that half of the snakes body was inside the toilet. It is disgusting.

Surprise

I got surprised when I found out that pigs are actually clean animals and not dirty old muddy animals.

Interesting

I thought it was interesting when I found out that the pig only roll in mud just to get cool on really hot days.

Troubling

It was troubling for me when I found out that they use dirty dirty mud instead of sprinklers, the stuff that will keep you clean and cool.

Surprise

I was surprised when I heard that there were 45 rattlesnakes under his house. I thought that maybe the rattlesnakes would get inside the house. I found it surprising that there were rattlesnakes hanging from the house.

Interesting

I think that it was interesting when he got people who came to get them but the rattlesnakes didn’t bite anybody. I found it interesting how they needed 3 buckets for 45 rattlesnakes. I thought they would need at least 6.

Troubling

I think that maybe if the rattlesnakes did get in the house he might bite his body. Luckily they stayed under the house.

Dear: Diary

My school is doing book day in couple of days. I need to find the best costume to get the best costume PRIZE!!!!!!!!! My mum thinks that a box and a biscuit tin will do the trick. I DID NOT SAY YES TO THAT so,... she grabbed my old pj’s and then glued scales on it. Then she added some eyes on it and then... BAM!... I was an alien scaled MONSTER! I went to school and saw Marcus, (The one that always brags about his costume) wasn’t wearing his costume. He forgot it was costume day today. Now I am definitely going to win the prize. I went to go see Derek (My best friend) to see what costume he was wearing. Unfortunately he was wearing a Michael Jackson costume. He looked really good. Finally it was time to win a prize. I noticed that my scales were falling off. I won a prize and had to take a picture for the newspaper. It was embarrassing because I had cat pajamas on. I rolled in the mud to make me look like a monster.I took the picture and Bam! I was a MUD MONSTER.

Hi I am Ella and this is a new blog post for 2019. This is about your personal  information. I have learnt all this from one man but, I am not going to say names in case he doesn't want to be heard. He isn't just teaching me he is teaching all year 5's in Marshland School. I did this in my free time.

Duathalon

Hello everybody, I am Ella and this blog post is about the duathlon in school. Me and the rest of my reading group were doing writing about the duathlon. I didn't do the duathlon but did watch it. So sit back and relax while reading my story.

On Tuesday years 5-8 did the duathlon in Marshland school.
Me and Mr. Bell’s literacy group was meant to be doing literacy
but instead, we got to skip some class and go cheer for the
people who participated the duathlon. It was really fun cheering
for everybody. I also got to run with them to. Technically I ran
some of the way and not all of it. I was a little to lazy.

I went by the gate to cheer for people when they went past. I
cheered for Isla, Tyler and Ethan. They were actually the only
people I knew. I got told of a little bit for going past the gate, but
after that I just keeped on going past it.

I went to the end of the hub to run with Isla. She started slowing
down for a little bit, but I helped her out and told her to keep on
running. I was running with her until the gate and then left her to
do the last round. Her face was getting really pink.

I saw Ethan running with a boy. Then Riley and Macy joined in
with them. They looked pretty cool running right next to each
other. Me and Olivia I were running with Isla. Then Chloe and
Brooke R joined in.

After the race finished I wanted to know who won. Sadly I didn’t
get to know who won. I think Tyler won because she is really
fast. I also think Isla came 2nd. I have noooo idea who came
3rd. Everybody did a good job.

Next time I think I will compete with them. I wish I competed,
that would be really cool for me. Not to brag but I would have
came 2nd. I don’t want to say I would come 1st because I think
Kaia would come first. I still had a little chance though.
