I have made my civilisation on the Tropical Islands. We had to make an entire new village making up jobs, building houses, making weapons & much much more. Wolf boiled alive?

 

Hi I am Ella, welcome to my next blog. My blog today is about the newspaper about a wolf boiled alive. We Had to write a newspaper about the three little piggy's. What happened was there was a video about the three little piggy's in real life. We had to choose a side, either be on the wolfs side where he got boiled  alive or the pigs where they were defending their house. I was defending the three piggy's because they had lost 2 homes already to the wolf. I had to write down all I thought and made a real newspaper.

SCAVENGER THE FAIRY TALE

Hi I am Ella and I am here to show you my next blog post. Today will be a little bit different. I am not posting a slide or a drawing. Today I am telling you about the scavenger hunt my teacher Mr. Bell made for us. 

This week is book week. We have no maths and we basically just do reading activities and inquiry. We have made a door display and all the other hubs have too. We have a challenge on who can make the best door display. This is what our door looked like.

                                                

Now to talk about our scavenger hunt. Mr. Bell took some of his time to set up a scavenger hunt around the school. He put up pictures of fairy tale creatures all around school. There was Rapunzel there was red riding hood and there were at least ten more. We had to find the picture tick it off and write down where it was. There was a 1st 2nd and 3rd place. Me and my friend Molly came in 3rd.

We had a certain amount of chapters we had to read each week. After we answered the questions we had activities to do. We had highlighted activities we had to do.

Deadly Smile

Hi i'm Ella and you are here to read about my next blog post. My blog post today is about a weird man. What we had to do was watch a short film and choose an activity for it. I chose my activity and it was about me writing it in third person. I got all of my ideas from the video and my head. Thank you for reading.


I was peeping out from the rocks spying on this man that would just stay still. This car pulling up and I tried to warn him but it was too late. I saw the sketchy man jump into the car and I got worried. I decided to follow them to see what was going on. I followed them and saw that the car was wobbling a lot. The man driving talking to the quiet man and then… They crashed. There was lots of dust as the car drove off the cliff. I thought I saw something. The dirt is fading away. It’s gone now. *GASP*. There he was the scary man staring into my eyes with a deadly smile.

Hailey Bieber is related to some pretty famous people. She is related to Stephen Baldwin. Stephen Baldwin is famous for being a producer, author and way more. He is also Hailey Bieber’s dad. She is related to the one and only Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber is a famous singer and has lots of fans.

Why is she famous?

Hailey Bieber is a Model. She used to do ballet but stopped due to a foot injury. Hailey Bieber is a runway model. She is also known to be Stephen Baldwin's daughter. She has been seen with Justin Bieber as he is her husband. Hailey Bieber broke her foot during a meet gala

Early life

Hailey Bieber’s birthday is 22 November 1996. She was born in Tucson, Arizona, US. She grew up having 1 sister named Alaia Baldwin. Her mother is Brizzilian of Italian and Portuguess. Her dad is Irish, English, Scottish, French and German. Hailey Bieber was actually home schooled as a child.

Who does she model for?

Hailey Bieber is represented by IMG modeles and has been featured in big adds for Guess, Tommy Hilfigire and Ralph Lauren. Tommy Hilfigire is an American fashion designer. Ralph Lauren is another fashion designer and is very successful with his brand. Guess in an American clothing brand.

Conclusion

Where am I???

Hello and welcome to my next blog post. A few weeks ago I wrote this thinking about something different coming to the world. It took me around a day to make this and I still made some mistakes.

Where am I? It looks like I have been kicked to the other side of the planet. I’m walking around looking at all the other species staring at me like I was a chicken walking on a trampoline. The species had weird shaped things on the side of there heads. They also have two things on there face that help them look around. Why would they have two? Where I come from we only have one. They have little things on there stomachs like a hole. I saw at the beach. I think that is what it’s called. I asked everyone with it if they got shot by the OTHERS. The OTHERS are mosquitoes. Those little thing are like dynamite. They will attack when they get the chance. Some one just came up to me and said “Can I please get a photo of you for my kid. He loves people that dress up!”. I told her “ I am real.”. For some reason she started running and screaming out… “I’M GONNA DIE!!!”. I think this (species) are pretty weird.

Introduction

Did you know Sea Lions and Seals are two different animals? Hi I am Ella and today I am showing you a series of facts containing Sea Lions. I decided to choose this animal because I didn’t really have much idea about this certain animal, so I decided to learn more about it.

Carnivores

Sea Lions are meat eaters also known as Carnivores. They like to eat more fish and penguins than things like pigs and cows. A carnivore is really just an animal that feeds on other animals. Sea Lions eat 5-8% of their body weight each day. Australian Sea Lions are around 190 kgs. Some times I get scared of certain carnivores such as cheetahs and tigers.

Endangered

Are Sea Lions endangered? Yes Sea Lions are endangered. They are definitely not extinct (yet). What could we do to stop them from going extinct? We could reuse things such as plastic and paper. We should stop littering because when it goes in the water sea animals can mistake it for food. I think Sea Lions are pretty scary because of their reputation. I have heard that a Sea Lion has grabbed someone and pulled them into the water. (The person survived).

Habitat

Sea Lions like to relax in both sandy shores or rocks that tend to be in the middle of the ocean or close to the shore. I have never been to one of the se places but wish to sometime in the future. They live in the Northern Pacific in between Asia and North America.

Conclusion

Introduction

Did you know more than 70 million people died fighting in WWII? Hi I am Ella and this is me showing you thing about WWII. My topics for today are going to be about where it started, when it started, my Great Gran dad and what did people risk.

Where it started

WW II started from Hitler invading Poland coming from west. France and Britain declared war on Germany two days later. This started WW II. On September 17th Soviet troops invaded Poland from the East. WW II ended in Europe on the 8th of May 1945.

What have people risked?

People have died and risked losing their families. The have risked losing their kids, wife's, husbands, mums, dads and more. People fight knowing that they could die but still fight for their country or family.

My Great Gran dad

My Great Gran dads name is Surrey McMechen. He fought in WW II. Luckily he survived. When I was born a couple of months later he sadly had died on December 27 2009. I really wish I could have met him as we did not live close.

When it started

It started on September the 1st 1939 and ended 2nd of September 1945.

Conclusion

I hope you learnt something about WW II. Overall I have learnt about where and when it started, that my great gran dad was in it and what people have risked. That was what I have done today once again hoped you learnt something.

Who Dunnit

Hi and welcome to my next blog post. Today I am showing you a slide I have been working on called Who Dunnit. This is a criminal scene and I need to figure out who is the criminal by using maths. We have been learning about rotation, reflection and translation.

Hi and today I will be showing you what I think I am going to be like and do in 10-15 years time. We are doing this in literacy where we find what we are now and think about what could change.

Hi I am Ella and I am 10 years old. I love playing sports and playing games but what do you think you would be like in 10 years time?

I think I would be a really wonky person. I would probably play the same sport I do now but I may be better. Right now I am really bad at guitar. In 10 years time I think I could play heaps of songs and perform at different places. I love playing netball but I think by the time I am 20 I will LOVE touch more. I right now am not the smartest person but I think I will be pretty smart. My mum really wants me to be smart so I don’t have to live with her when i’m 25. This is How I think I will live my life. I also really want to play sports for a living. I LOVE playing touch and netball. My personality is right now nice but a little sassy. In the future I think I will have a funny nice but still a little sass.

RAT BURGER

Hi and welcome to my next blog post. Today I will be posting a story about a story. This may sound weird but what we need to do is find our favourite book and then write a shorter version. My favourite book is RAT BURGER. When I was younger my teacher read it to me and my classroom. I made this into something a little different.

Once upon a time a there was a girl who had a GREAT family. They always celebrated everything until her mum died. A couple of months later her dad found another girlfriend. They got married and wanted to be together forever. The new step mum was horrible to the little girl. The little girls name is Chloe. Once her step mum came she has had a horrible life. She was walking to school when she went past her dad working. He had a surprise for Chloe. He go her a mouse. She wanted to train the mouse for a school talent show. A couple of days before the talent show her mouse died. Her step mum killed him. Then she flushed the mouse down the toilet. She then was crying in her bedroom when she saw her pant move. She grabbed her pants and found something surprising. She found another mice. The mouse could dance to music too. She decided to hide the mouse from everyone and keep it a secret till the talent show. She got up the next morning out of their apartment. She felt spit fall on her head. She looked up and there she was, Patricia Jones. Patricia Jones is the biggest bully ever. Once Chloe got to school she showed her best friend Jack her mouse. Oh no they said, the burger man is here. The burger man sells gross burgers that are sloppy and have sock juice. Chloe and Jack have always wondered what was wrong with the burger man. They followed the burger man and they found he was going into a warehouse. Chloe wondered why. “That warehouse was abandoned years ago” Jack said. They went into the ware house to find cages hanging from the ceiling. They were filled with something. RATS! He had a machine that he was chucking the mice in. He caught us and tied us to chairs. We asked what this was all about. He said he was making mice meat. We asked him if he was giving out rat burgers to our school and he replied with “YES”. We asked why he was doing this and he said “For the money”. Chloe and Jack heard someone say “Hello Honey”. Who was it? The person walked out looking at her phone. Chloe’s face dropped. It was her step mother. Chloe said to her “WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?”. The step mum looked up and said “oh hello Chloe. I am with this nice man.”. Chloe was recording everything and sent it to her dad. Her dad busted through the walls with their van. He grabbed the kids and left. Next minute the cops were here. Ratburger man was arrested as well as the step mum. The dad got married to another women a couple of years after and she was so nice to Chloe. They always played games together. That was the end of this story. THE END

Hi and welcome to my next blog post. Today I am going to be showing you a maths presentation. We had to find this slide on the Korimako site and then make a copy. Then we look at the questions and answer them. This slide was more about making graphs and investigating in our pantry's/fridges. We had to get out our food and fruit and sort them out into different places. Then we made graphs and worked out the total. I made the pie graph on google sheet and made the dot graph by hand.

My WICKED parents

Hi and welcome to my next blog post. In literacy we had to write about what we think our parents were like when they were our age. I wrote this on documents you should try it sometime. What do you think your parents were like when they were your age?

OK I guess my mum and dad are pretty mature now,(sometimes not). But let’s look at what their life could have been like back when they were my age.

When my mum was little she had a dog. The dogs name was (Albert), he had a Mohawk with pink claws.💗 My mum had blond hair but not the nice feeling. She had curly hair like springs. It would always flick out. That is where I got curls from. On wacky hair day she could just wake up and her hair is done for the day. She had 4 siblings 2 girls 2 boys. They would fight a lot! They would yell at each other (most of the time). My mum was crazy! She could be running for a while. She played sports like touch and that. She said she was good at it…...😝 

My dad… He is different👊😝. He played lots of sports growing up and always brags about him being the master at all of them. He is pretty good I gotta say. He has taught us a lot about sports we play like touch, softball, netball and heaps of others. He has gone through something EXTRAORDINARY! He was playing extreme tag with one of his brothers and when he was in he ran into the glass on the side of the front door. He got glass in his skin and he didn’t even feel it because it went numb. My dad had a dragon with white stripes on its back as a pet. His name was Jacky. They would hang out a lot!! That is my dad!

My little pony

Hello and welcome to my next blog post. In literacy we had to get 5 words or phrases and put them all into a story. The five words we have used today are... Pony, baseball, cap, movie theatre and lamp. We had to have at least three of those words/phrases in our story. I have used exactly all of them. I got this photo from Here

He hit the ball that went 200 meters away! Everyone yelling and cheering him
on while her runs. He made it! It looks like he is running to his team. He is!
They lift him up into the air. As Jeff (the player) was letting the wind smash
against his face in the crowd was a pony. 

The owner was a big fan of Jeff. She even dressed up the pony in the same
colours of Jeff’s baseball uniform. She made a cap to represent their team. It
had a mini baseball on the cap and a brownish bronzey colour with white
stripes. She put the cap on the pony and the face looks like a cat going into a
bath tub of water.

The fan had to go because the pony was NOT taking it. As she was walking down the stairs from where her seat was Jeff started walking with his friends. The fan Veronica was feeding the pony a banana while they were walking and she turned around and Jeff was walking behind her. She smashed the banana all over Jeff. 

Jeff said to her “Are you okay?”. She replied with “ Yeah I am fine are you ok?”
She started going red. They introduced them selfes and ended up being
friends. They went to the movie theatre and watched Jumanji. Once the
movie finished they found a lamp lying in the middle of the theatre. They
took it home and wrapped it up and gave it to a homeless person for night
time. They became best friends.

Machine made by ME

Hi and welcome to my next blog post. Today I am showing you my writing. In literacy we have been doing descriptive writing. We are trying to describe this photo. We aren't trying to make a full story, we are just saying what the (machine) is made of. (Well what we think it is made of). I tried my best to describe this machine. What is your favourite type of writing?

Wow. I think I may have invented my very own submaplane. I made it with four of my school rubbery pencils. I taped it together with old tape I used on some photos inside. I had some old metal propellers left in the garage. To make the steering wheel I had a piece of wood that came from my friends and then, I stuck a whole lot of pins to it. The propellers were highlighted green. I stuck a old helmet with mini propellers. It had old rusty marks, the colour of blue and green. The base was an old pirate ship I played with when I was little. When I was little my dad gave me a sculpture of myself.  The ship was so old if you rubbed your hand against it you would feel the scratchy material.

The sun setting into the sky

Hi I am Ella and welcome to my next blog post. At the start of this year we were describing pictures in literacy. The photo we were describing at this moment is, a girl looking at the sun set on a farm. We had a limited amount of time to do this, maybe 15-20 minutes. Have you watched a sun set before? This is what I wrote.

I was tired walking up the long hill, dragging up an old rusty cart. It had boxes
full of fragile cricket bats. Ya! I was nearly at the very top of the hill. I was finally
at the top of the beautiful hill. I always come up here to look at the wonderful
view. It is always beautiful looking at everything in the farm. The corn, peas
tomatoes! WOW! There is something you definitely don’t see everyday. There
it was the beautiful purpley orangery sky. 

The sunset coming down slowly. I felt the salty tear drop into my mouth. It was
so magnificent I was starting to shed tears. Looking at the green fuzzy trees
full of wonder and beauty. 

Watching the sun slide itself down slowly. The clouds slowly passing away
into the sun. 

Me and my dogs.

Hi and welcome to my next blog post. Korimako had a writing test on and we had to write about a picture we saw. The picture was of two dogs running on the beach. We had a certain amount of time to do this. This is what I wrote.

I hear the whaling of the seas. I hear dogs barking in the distance. I feel the air slashing onto my face and, feel sand hitting against my legs. The wet dog slowly filling my nose. I smell salty water dripping down my face. I see Dogs splashing in the water with desire.  My smallest dog Glaze and bigger one Chop. I see them running up and down the soft sand getting closer to the water. I start feeling the sun come out more because I think I am getting sun burnt. I can taste the salt water dripping onto my tongue as my dogs run past. I was thinking how cute, fast and playful dogs can actually be.  I smelt the sweaty old man going for a run down the beach. I see people playing volleyball in the distance. I ran in the water with my dogs. I felt the freezing cold water hit my skin. My eyes glazed at the sky wondering what it would be like to fly. My dogs paddled back to shore. I watched my wet dogs and said how am I gonna get them in the car. I swam back to shore and stared at my beautiful dogs running around in the water. Suddenly smelt a tint of (poop). I looked an I saw my dog pooping on the beach. Eh, I bought bags. I put the bag inside out put my hand in the bag and picked up the poo. The smell was revolting. It smelt like wet dog and toe jams. Wait no rubbish bins! How am I gonna deal with that on the ride home?
