Molly, Tommo and Charlie

 Kia ora, my name is Ella and you are currently reading my next BLOG POST! We are reading a chapter book called Private Peaceful. There are 3 friends that start off normal but then 2 of them start becoming closer. Read more about this in the next paragraphs.

Private Peacful/How have Molly, Charlie and Tommo's relation ship changing. 

Molly, Charlie and Tommo Have changed quite a bit. From all being best friends to Molly and Charlie fading away from little Tommo. Charlie had met Molly from Tommo's class. They all would hang out together as friend group. They all loved each other equally. All tho Charlie and Molly have been getting closer. Don’t get me wrong she was very kind to Tommo too but a little too kind. More like a little brother. Charlie and Molly left school to get new jobs at the big house. So even more closer they were getting. They slowly started doing more stuff together alone more than with Tommo. They ran away from Tommo once to do skinny dipping. Having more fun together and not with Tommo they started to become more than friends. All though Molly and Charlies relation ship wasn’t the only relation that changed.Charlie and Tommo were basically inseparable. They always told stories to each other in bed but not anymore. Charlie started getting older and more mature. He stopped playing with Tommo and started paying more and more attention to Molly. Overall Charlie and Molly became closer and Tommo was slowly going out of the picture.

TIKI

Welcome to my next blog post. Today I am showing you my amazing art. First I drew a Tiki and then filled it in with pastel colour. Then I folded it into the shape of a kite and water coloured the back ground.

Matariki and the Pleiades star cluster, have got many stories attached to them. We looked at two; one about how Ranginui and Papatuanuku were separated by Tāne Mahuta, and how Tāwhirimatea was so angry he ripped out his eyes and threw thunderbolts to the sky, creating the cluster, and another story about 7 sisters making kites, and them going to the sky. Ururangi’s kite was different from the rest, it was rainbow coloured. We have mixed these two stories to create the design of our kites.

STEAM/Paper Table

 Hey! Welcome to my next BLOG POST!!! Today I will be showing you a STEAM task. Every Wednesday we have technology. We have one half of the class going in the morning and the other, the afternoon. I was at school in the morning so.... Our task today was to make a table 15 cm high and strong enough to hold a book on our teachers table. People who got at least one book on there table for over 3 seconds completed the challenge. Our group tried our best lets say!

Steam experiment

Hello and welcome to my next blog post! Just the other day we did an experiment. We had a certain amount of supplies and had to make something to stop the egg from cracking at a tall height. Even though our egg cracked we did a good job! Team work wise. Only one team in our part didn't crack their egg and what they did was wrap around the egg multiple times. Me and my team did a very good job and worked together. 

Genie Drawing

Salaam and good evening my friends. Welcome to my next blog post. Today I will be showing you my art work I have made of the Genie from Aladdin. We have been working on a production called ALADDIN! While some people are practising the other people that are not in this very scene will go on a slide and complete a task. Me and some friend decided to draw a Genie and we think we did good. It took 1 session for drawing and half a session for colouring in. This is how mine turned out : ) ( :

 

MOON SAND

 Hello and welcome to my next blog post. Today we were doing an experiment. We have been doing things about matariki but today our experiment was about the Moon. First we were talking about launching and then we started our experiment. We grabbed 500 ml of moon sand into a bucket in groups of 7. The moon sand was not real but it was the same consistency of real moon sand. We had metal balls and dropped them in sand. We then needed to record what happened.   

Hundertwasser Art

Kia Ora my name is Ella and welcome to my next blog post! This is my Hundertwasser Art. On tech days we have been focusing on this Art. Can you find these particular things: Floating eyeballs, small hidden face and Onion Domes. We either had to use Complementary colours on the colour wheel or use opposites. You can find more art like this in bathrooms but more up north. Have you made this art before?

Basketball Bang

 

Hello my name is Ella and you are here to look at my blog post. The story I am telling you today is about keeping others safe. What can you see here? I see two boys playing basketball until a group of mean boys come and take over. The mean boys steal there basketball and push them to the ground. This is what I would do if I was in this situation. I would stand up for my friend and tell them to go away. What would you do if YOU were in this situation?

The Waitangi Treaty

 Hello my name is Ella Davidson and welcome to my next blog post. What you will be experiencing today is how I would feel  if I were one of the first Maori Settlers who were losing control of there land. I am sorry if you may not understand a bit here and there but you will get what I mean. This Term Toroa have been  focusing on Maori, ancestors and the Maori culture and how it started. The British came along and thought they had bought this piece of land. War had gone on and the Waitangi  Treaty was signed. Who were your ancestors? How would you feel about this?

My leaping Lego Lady

 Hi I am Ella and welcome to my new blog post! This time round I have made a Lego version of myself. No I am not yellow but it turns me into a real Lego person! This takes time and thought but I am pretty proud of myself. I thought drawing the outside of it would make it pop and it did. Caring Coasteering

 Hello My name is Ella and last week from Tuesday to Friday we went to Wainui Camp. We had several activities. One on the day we got there and two the rest of the days. We did thing such as Kayaking, Code breaking (safe), orienteering, Coasteering and later on in the night we played games. So we had to reflect and talk about our favourite activity.

 My favourite was Coasteering. Coasteering is where you walk across rocks and jump off high cliffs. This slide tells you why Coasteering is one of my favourite activitys. I liked Coasteering because I think exploring is fun and i like watching the ocean slowly get closer and closer.

I have made my civilisation on the Tropical Islands. We had to make an entire new village making up jobs, building houses, making weapons & much much more. Wolf boiled alive?

 

Hi I am Ella, welcome to my next blog. My blog today is about the newspaper about a wolf boiled alive. We Had to write a newspaper about the three little piggy's. What happened was there was a video about the three little piggy's in real life. We had to choose a side, either be on the wolfs side where he got boiled  alive or the pigs where they were defending their house. I was defending the three piggy's because they had lost 2 homes already to the wolf. I had to write down all I thought and made a real newspaper.

SCAVENGER THE FAIRY TALE

Hi I am Ella and I am here to show you my next blog post. Today will be a little bit different. I am not posting a slide or a drawing. Today I am telling you about the scavenger hunt my teacher Mr. Bell made for us. 

This week is book week. We have no maths and we basically just do reading activities and inquiry. We have made a door display and all the other hubs have too. We have a challenge on who can make the best door display. This is what our door looked like.

                                                

Now to talk about our scavenger hunt. Mr. Bell took some of his time to set up a scavenger hunt around the school. He put up pictures of fairy tale creatures all around school. There was Rapunzel there was red riding hood and there were at least ten more. We had to find the picture tick it off and write down where it was. There was a 1st 2nd and 3rd place. Me and my friend Molly came in 3rd.

We had a certain amount of chapters we had to read each week. After we answered the questions we had activities to do. We had highlighted activities we had to do.

Deadly Smile

Hi i'm Ella and you are here to read about my next blog post. My blog post today is about a weird man. What we had to do was watch a short film and choose an activity for it. I chose my activity and it was about me writing it in third person. I got all of my ideas from the video and my head. Thank you for reading.


I was peeping out from the rocks spying on this man that would just stay still. This car pulling up and I tried to warn him but it was too late. I saw the sketchy man jump into the car and I got worried. I decided to follow them to see what was going on. I followed them and saw that the car was wobbling a lot. The man driving talking to the quiet man and then… They crashed. There was lots of dust as the car drove off the cliff. I thought I saw something. The dirt is fading away. It’s gone now. *GASP*. There he was the scary man staring into my eyes with a deadly smile.
